Who The Saratoga Springs Downtown Business Association

What: FALL FESTIVAL is the Downtown Business Association's way of welcoming the Fall Season with a day of fun family activities. Children and their parents are welcome to dress up in costume and come trick or treating at participating businesses from 12-4pm. There will be several other activities planned as well. In past years, Caroline Street was closed for the Pumpkin Roll. There were balloon artists, face painters a costume contest and a sidewalk parade. 

This year, the DBA is planning a movie to be played at the Saratoga Springs City Center parking garage, lower level. As part of Fall Festival, The DBA will host the Great Saratoga Pumpkin Hunt. This is a two-week Scavenger Hunt that will take place from October 15-30th. The winner will be announced on Halloween. For more information, click here.

12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. — Downtown Saratoga​

12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. — Trick or Treating Downtown

12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. — Pumpkin Roll | Caroline Street

At the top of Caroline Street and Broadway, participants are welcome to grab a pumpkin from one of our volunteers from the Rotary Club of Saratoga Springs. At the bottom of Caroline and Maple, participants can pick up their prizes.

12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. — Book Signing | Crafter's Gallery

Book Signing with Local Author Elizabeth Macy and the star of her books, Lucky.  12-3 in front of Crafters Gallery.  She'll be handing out bookmarks and coloring pages.


1:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. — Read Aloud | Saratoga Public Library Patio

On the patio of the Saratoga Springs Public Library, Children’s authors will read from their captivating books to provide a break from the higher-energy activities of the weekend. This activity is thanks to the DBA’s partnership with the Saratoga Book Fest and Friends of the Saratoga Public Library. 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. — Graphic Novel Workshop | Northshire Bookstore

Ira Marcks is a cartoonist living in Upstate New York with his wife, two cats, a dog, and lots of books he’s been meaning to read. Shark Summer is his debut graphic novel. Reserve a space on the SBF registration page at

3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. — Side Walk Parade | Hamlet & Ghost

Come all ghoul and goblin-clad kiddos for this year’s Side Walk Parade. Participants will line up at Hamlet and Ghost. Volunteers will then lead the festive crew up Caroline Street, turn left on Broadway and head to Congress Park.

6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. — Hocus Pocus Movie | City Center Parking Garage

The Saratoga DBA will be showing the classic Halloween movie Hocus Pocus at the City Center Parking Garage from 6-8 p.m. Enter at 37 High Rock ave, ground floor of the parking garage. Dress warm, bring chairs and blankets. FREE TO THE PUBLIC.
